Every day there are millions of searches with the term “cheap” in front of the product or service that is being searched for. SEO is no exception. With over 20,000 searches each month for “cheap seo.” I thought I’d write a little about what that means in the seo world.

This reminds me of a funny situation that occurred a couple weeks ago with friends of mine. They were working on a project with a very limited budget so they were forced to find creative ways to get the job done. One of my friends decided to use DollarTree tape instead of Scotch tape (which is also sold by DollarTree but they were out at the time). Well not wanting to pay full retail for Scotch tape, she decided to use DollarTree tape. Needless to say within minutes of using the tape and taping 50 boxes or so, all of the items she had taped fell off. Frustrated, she had to redo the work all over again but this time with the right kind of tape.

This reminded me a lot of our industry where people look for cheap seo services and expect to receive the value of true seo. See cheap works well in front of words like:

cheap hotels
cheap flights
cheap tickets

However cheap does not work so well in front of words like:

cheap health-care
cheap jewelry
cheap business coaching
cheap seo
cheap web design

There are some things that you expect to get value with when you pay for them. SEO is no exception. This is your business, your image, and your livelihood. There is no such thing as “cheap seo” when it comes to getting value. There are those boasting this all over the place, but realize the one thing they are capitalizing on is your desire to get something for nothing. And you will get something for nothing, it just won’t be seo. What’s worse is that it too cheap for you to even bother with filing a civil suit or to waste too much time fighting. It’s a win-win for them but a lose-lose for you.

Affordable is a more feasible term. Our services are much more affordable than most and we provide more value that our counterparts. We do not sell cheap services, however our services are affordable and the value worth much more in terms of value.
